The Big Question: How much does Gutter Guard cost?

The question seems so simple, but why is it so hard to get a straight answer from a Gutter Guard company? Why do you keep getting the following answer?

Look, the answer is every installation company has its own rates, and those rates vary depending on the competition in your city. But to have someone supply and install gutter guard for you, you’re typically looking at a cost between $35-$45 per metre. There are some guys who will do it for a cheaper $25-$30 per metre but that’s a bit less likely. Usually you can get a free gutter cleaning thrown in there (because who’s going to install gutter guard on dirty gutters?).

We live in a world where DIY is king.

If you’re looking for a DIY Gutter Guard option, there’s a lot of savings available by blocking on a weekend and getting the dirty work do yourself.

For example:

Supply & Install @ $35 per lineal metre for 100 metres: $3,500

DIY Gutter Protection kit @ $10.50 per lineal metre for 100 metres: $1,050

That’s a massive savings.

So you’ve got a weigh a couple things, do you want to clean your gutters yourself, and spend your weekend installation this stuff (it’s not that hard to install, just time consuming)? I mean, for a savings of about $2500 the answer I’d probably give is….Yes.
